Warranty Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This Warranty Policy ("Policy") applies to products purchased through SparesHub.com, operated by Iradium Automobiles Private Limited under the brand SparesHub ("SparesHub", "Company", "we", "us" or "our").
This is a strict warranty policy. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing for a specific product, SparesHub does not provide any independent warranty of its own. Any warranty available on a product is ordinarily the warranty, if any, provided by the relevant: manufacturer; automobile OEM; authorised dealership; distributor; supplier; or marketplace seller.
By purchasing a product through SparesHub.com, the Buyer agrees to the terms of this Policy.
1. COMPANY DETAILS
Iradium Automobiles Private Limited
Brand: SparesHub
Website: SparesHub.com
Email: contact@spareshub.com
Phone: +91 78755 23381
2. GENERAL WARRANTY POSITION
SparesHub is an automobile spare-parts marketplace and supplier. Products sold through the Platform may originate from SparesHub or approved third-party marketplace sellers. SparesHub does not automatically provide a warranty merely because a product was purchased through SparesHub.com. A product will carry a warranty only where:
- the applicable manufacturer, OEM, seller or supplier provides a warranty; or
- SparesHub expressly confirms a specific warranty in writing for that product.
If no warranty is expressly stated in the quotation, invoice, product information or written communication, the Buyer should assume that no additional warranty is being provided by SparesHub.
3. MANUFACTURER / OEM WARRANTY
Where a genuine/OEM product carries a manufacturer or authorised-channel warranty, the warranty will be governed entirely by the terms, conditions, limitations and procedures of that manufacturer or authorised supplier. SparesHub does not control and cannot alter:
- warranty periods;
- eligibility requirements;
- inspection procedures;
- approval criteria;
- rejection decisions;
- replacement policies; or
- manufacturer warranty timelines.
Submission of a warranty claim through SparesHub does not guarantee approval.
4. MARKETPLACE SELLER WARRANTY
Where a marketplace seller offers a warranty, the seller is responsible for honouring the warranty according to the terms communicated at the time of quotation or sale. SparesHub may facilitate communication and documentation between the Buyer and seller, but final warranty liability may remain with the relevant seller, supplier or manufacturer.
5. AFTERMARKET AND OES PRODUCTS
Warranty terms for OES and aftermarket products vary between manufacturers and suppliers. The Buyer must review the specific warranty terms, where provided, before purchasing. Unless expressly stated otherwise, SparesHub does not create or extend any additional warranty beyond the warranty offered by the relevant manufacturer or supplier.
6. WARRANTY PERIOD
The warranty period, if any, will be the period specified by the relevant manufacturer, seller or supplier. The warranty period may begin from:
- invoice date;
- sale date;
- installation date; or
- another date prescribed by the warranty provider.
SparesHub does not independently extend warranty periods.
7. NO IMPLIED WARRANTY PERIOD
If no warranty period is expressly specified for a product, the Buyer must not assume that the product carries:
- 3-month warranty;
- 6-month warranty;
- 1-year warranty;
- lifetime warranty; or
- any other implied warranty period.
8. WARRANTY CLAIM IS NOT A RETURN
A warranty claim is separate from a return or refund request. Once a product has been:
- installed;
- used;
- connected;
- programmed;
- coded;
- operated; or
- fitted to a vehicle,
the matter will ordinarily be treated as a warranty claim, not a standard return. The Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy will apply separately.
9. MANUFACTURING DEFECTS ONLY
Unless the applicable manufacturer or seller warranty provides otherwise, warranty coverage is generally limited to verified manufacturing defects. Warranty does not ordinarily cover failure resulting from:
- incorrect installation;
- misuse;
- wear and tear;
- vehicle-related faults;
- accidental damage;
- improper maintenance; or
- external causes.
10. WARRANTY CLAIM REQUIREMENTS
A Buyer making a warranty claim may be required to provide some or all of the following:
- SparesHub order number;
- purchase invoice;
- product invoice;
- product photographs;
- packaging photographs;
- part number;
- serial number;
- batch number;
- VIN/chassis number;
- vehicle registration number;
- odometer reading;
- installation date;
- installation invoice;
- workshop details;
- diagnostic report;
- scan-tool report;
- fault codes;
- photographs or videos showing the fault;
- service history;
- technician report;
- failed product; and
- any other evidence reasonably required by the manufacturer, seller or supplier.
Failure to provide required documentation may result in rejection of the warranty claim.
11. ORIGINAL PRODUCT MUST BE RETAINED
The Buyer must retain the allegedly defective product until the warranty claim is finally resolved. The Buyer must not:
- discard the product;
- dismantle it unnecessarily;
- destroy it;
- modify it;
- send it for repair elsewhere; or
- dispose of it.
If the product is unavailable for inspection, the claim may be rejected.
12. PRODUCT RETURN FOR INSPECTION
The Buyer may be required to send the product back for technical inspection. Receipt of the product for inspection does not mean that the warranty claim has been accepted. The warranty provider may inspect the product to determine the cause of failure.
13. INSPECTION DECISION
The decision regarding whether a product contains a manufacturing defect may be made by:
- manufacturer;
- OEM;
- authorised dealership;
- distributor;
- supplier;
- seller;
- authorised technical centre; or
- another authorised warranty evaluator.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SparesHub may rely on the technical determination of the relevant warranty provider.
14. WARRANTY APPROVAL IS NOT GUARANTEED
SparesHub does not guarantee that a warranty claim will be accepted. A claim may be rejected after inspection where the evidence indicates that the failure was not caused by a covered manufacturing defect.
15. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENT
Automobile spare parts must be installed by appropriately qualified technicians or workshops. Where required by the manufacturer or supplier, installation may need to be performed by:
- an authorised service centre;
- qualified automobile technician;
- trained workshop; or
- approved installer.
Failure to comply with installation requirements may invalidate warranty coverage.
16. PROOF OF INSTALLATION
For warranty claims, SparesHub or the warranty provider may require a valid installation invoice showing:
- workshop name;
- installation date;
- vehicle details;
- product details; and
- labour performed.
The absence of satisfactory installation evidence may result in warranty rejection.
17. INCORRECT INSTALLATION
Warranty will not apply where failure is caused or contributed to by:
- incorrect fitting;
- excessive tightening;
- improper torque;
- incorrect wiring;
- wrong polarity;
- incorrect coding;
- improper programming;
- contamination;
- failure to lubricate;
- failure to bleed;
- incorrect adjustment;
- use of unsuitable tools; or
- failure to follow prescribed procedures.
18. INCORRECT DIAGNOSIS
SparesHub does not warrant that purchasing a particular part will resolve a vehicle problem. If a Buyer or technician incorrectly diagnoses the fault and replaces a functional component unnecessarily, the product will not become eligible for warranty or return merely because the original vehicle fault continues.
19. OTHER VEHICLE FAULTS
Warranty may be rejected where the product failed because of another vehicle fault, including:
- wiring defects;
- electrical short circuit;
- abnormal voltage;
- alternator malfunction;
- battery failure;
- ECU malfunction;
- cooling-system problems;
- lubrication failure;
- contamination;
- mechanical misalignment;
- blocked lines;
- damaged connectors;
- abnormal pressure;
- water ingress; or
- another defective component.
20. ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC PARTS
Electrical and electronic products require particularly careful installation and diagnosis. These may include:
- ECUs;
- BCMs;
- sensors;
- control modules;
- motors;
- switches;
- electronic steering components;
- ABS components;
- infotainment units;
- instrument clusters;
- cameras;
- lighting modules; and
- other electronic assemblies.
Warranty may be rejected if the product is damaged by incorrect installation, programming, wiring, voltage or vehicle-related faults.
21. PROGRAMMABLE AND CODED COMPONENTS
Certain components require:
- coding;
- programming;
- adaptation;
- pairing;
- calibration;
- software configuration; or
- manufacturer diagnostic systems.
The Buyer is responsible for ensuring these procedures are performed correctly. An inability to code or program a component does not automatically establish that the component is defective.
22. CONSUMABLE AND WEAR ITEMS
Normal wear-and-tear products generally do not carry warranty against ordinary usage unless expressly provided by the manufacturer. Such products may include:
- brake pads;
- brake shoes;
- clutch components;
- wiper blades;
- bulbs;
- filters;
- belts;
- rubber components;
- bushes;
- bearings;
- seals;
- gaskets;
- fluids;
- lubricants; and
- similar consumable items.
23. SERVICE LIFE IS NOT A WARRANTY
The expected service life of an automobile component is not the same as a guaranteed warranty period. Component life may vary significantly depending on:
- driving conditions;
- road conditions;
- vehicle usage;
- installation;
- maintenance;
- environment; and
- condition of related components.
24. BODY AND COSMETIC PARTS
Body panels, painted parts, plastic components and cosmetic items must be inspected before installation or painting. Once a product has been:
- painted;
- polished;
- drilled;
- cut;
- modified;
- welded;
- fitted; or
- otherwise altered,
claims relating to cosmetic appearance, dimensions or minor surface condition may not be accepted unless the defect could not reasonably have been detected earlier.
25. GLASS PARTS
Glass products should be inspected immediately upon delivery. Once glass has been installed, claims for cracks, chips or breakage may be rejected unless a manufacturing defect is independently established.
26. RUBBER AND PLASTIC PRODUCTS
Rubber and plastic parts may naturally change characteristics over time due to:
- temperature;
- storage;
- sunlight;
- chemicals;
- installation pressure; and
- environmental exposure.
Warranty does not ordinarily cover deterioration resulting from external conditions or normal ageing.
27. BATTERIES
Battery warranties, where applicable, are governed by the battery manufacturer's warranty conditions. The Buyer may be required to approach an authorised battery dealer or service centre directly. SparesHub does not independently guarantee battery replacement.
28. LUBRICANTS, FLUIDS AND CHEMICAL PRODUCTS
Opened or partially used lubricants, oils, fluids, coolants, additives or chemical products are generally not eligible for warranty or return unless a verified manufacturing or packaging defect existed before use.
29. PARTS MODIFIED AFTER PURCHASE
Warranty will not apply to products that have been:
- modified;
- repaired;
- rebuilt;
- reconditioned;
- machined;
- welded;
- painted;
- cut;
- drilled;
- altered;
- tampered with; or
- dismantled beyond normal installation requirements,
unless expressly authorised by the warranty provider.
30. SERIAL NUMBERS AND LABELS
Warranty claims may be rejected if:
- serial numbers are removed;
- manufacturer labels are missing;
- holograms are damaged;
- part-number labels are intentionally altered;
- warranty seals are broken; or
- authenticity markings are tampered with.
31. PHYSICAL DAMAGE
Warranty does not cover physical damage occurring after delivery, including:
- cracks;
- breakage;
- dents;
- burns;
- impact damage;
- water damage;
- chemical damage;
- corrosion caused after installation; or
- damage caused by improper handling.
32. ACCIDENT DAMAGE
Products damaged due to:
- collision;
- accident;
- road impact;
- pothole;
- flood;
- fire;
- theft;
- vandalism; or
- other external event
are not covered by standard product warranty.
33. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR
Warranty does not cover deterioration caused by normal operation of the vehicle. Examples include:
- friction wear;
- ageing;
- fading;
- gradual deterioration;
- normal vibration;
- ordinary corrosion; and
- replacement required as part of periodic maintenance.
34. COMMERCIAL OR ABNORMAL USE
Warranty may be restricted or excluded where a product is used under conditions materially outside its intended application, including:
- racing;
- competition;
- overloading;
- off-road use where not intended;
- performance modification;
- commercial usage contrary to product specifications; or
- other abnormal operating conditions.
35. WRONG PART ORDERED
If the Buyer supplied or confirmed an incorrect part number and SparesHub supplied the exact confirmed product, incompatibility with the vehicle will not constitute a warranty defect. Such cases are governed by the Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy.
36. SUPERSEDED PART NUMBERS
Supply of an officially superseded part number does not itself constitute a warranty issue. Manufacturers may update or replace part numbers without changing the intended application.
37. INSTALLATION LABOUR IS NOT COVERED
Unless expressly stated in writing, warranty coverage is limited to the eligible product itself. SparesHub will not reimburse labour charges associated with:
- removal;
- installation;
- reinstallation;
- diagnosis;
- programming;
- calibration; or
- testing.
This applies even where a product warranty claim is ultimately approved, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
38. NO CONSEQUENTIAL EXPENSES
To the maximum extent permitted by law, warranty does not include reimbursement for:
- towing;
- vehicle downtime;
- vehicle rental;
- taxi expenses;
- travel expenses;
- accommodation;
- business loss;
- loss of profits;
- loss of income;
- customer compensation;
- workshop idle time;
- penalties imposed by third parties; or
- other consequential expenses.
39. NO ADVANCE REPLACEMENT
Unless expressly approved by SparesHub, the manufacturer or seller, a replacement product will not be dispatched in advance while the original product remains under investigation. The allegedly defective product may first need to be:
- returned;
- inspected;
- verified; and
- approved under warranty.
40. NO AUTOMATIC REFUND
An approved warranty claim does not necessarily entitle the Buyer to a cash refund. The remedy will depend on the warranty provider's policy and may include:
- repair;
- replacement;
- credit note;
- equivalent product; or
- refund.
The manufacturer, seller or supplier may determine the applicable remedy subject to applicable law.
41. REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY
Where the applicable warranty provides for repair rather than replacement, the Buyer agrees that repair may constitute valid fulfilment of the warranty obligation.
42. REPLACEMENT PRODUCT
Where replacement is approved, the replacement may:
- be the same part number;
- carry a superseded part number;
- be an equivalent manufacturer-approved product; or
- be otherwise supplied according to the applicable warranty terms.
43. WARRANTY ON REPLACEMENT
Replacement of a product does not automatically restart the original warranty period. The warranty applicable to a replacement product will be determined by the relevant manufacturer or supplier's policy.
44. WARRANTY CLAIM SHIPPING COSTS
The Buyer may initially be required to bear the cost of sending a product for inspection. Where the claim is approved and the applicable warranty terms provide for reimbursement, reasonable shipping charges may be reimbursed or adjusted. Where a claim is rejected, shipping and inspection-related costs may remain payable by the Buyer.
45. REJECTED WARRANTY CLAIMS
If a warranty claim is rejected, the Buyer may be responsible for:
- return shipping;
- inspection charges;
- diagnostic charges;
- packaging charges; or
- other actual charges imposed by the warranty provider, where applicable and legally permitted.
46. WARRANTY PROCESSING TIME
Warranty claims may require investigation by parties outside SparesHub. Accordingly, SparesHub does not guarantee a fixed resolution period. Processing time may depend on:
- manufacturer inspection;
- dealership response;
- seller verification;
- technical analysis;
- shipment time; and
- availability of replacement stock.
47. BUYER MUST COOPERATE
The Buyer must provide reasonable cooperation during a warranty investigation. Failure to provide:
- documentation;
- vehicle details;
- diagnostic evidence;
- photographs;
- returned product; or
- other requested information
may result in closure or rejection of the claim.
48. FRAUDULENT WARRANTY CLAIMS
SparesHub reserves the right to reject claims involving suspected:
- product substitution;
- altered serial numbers;
- fake invoices;
- manipulated photographs;
- deliberate product damage;
- false installation information;
- false diagnostic reports; or
- other fraudulent conduct.
Accounts involved in fraudulent claims may be suspended or terminated. Legal action may be taken where appropriate.
49. PRODUCTS PURCHASED FOR RESALE
Where a garage, retailer, workshop or other commercial Buyer resells or installs a product for its own customer, the Buyer remains responsible for any independent warranty commitments made to that customer. SparesHub is bound only by the warranty terms applicable to the original transaction through SparesHub.com.
50. BUYER'S CUSTOMER CLAIMS
A claim made by the end customer of a garage, retailer or reseller does not automatically establish a warranty obligation against SparesHub. The original Buyer must raise the claim through the SparesHub warranty process and provide the required documentation.
51. SELLER RESPONSIBILITY
Where a marketplace seller supplied the product, SparesHub may recover appropriate costs or require the seller to fulfil a valid warranty obligation under the Seller Terms & Conditions. However, this does not create any broader warranty commitment by SparesHub to the Buyer.
52. AUTHENTICITY CLAIMS
A claim that a product sold as genuine is counterfeit is treated seriously and may be separately investigated. The Buyer must retain:
- product;
- packaging;
- manufacturer labels;
- invoice;
- holograms; and
- supporting evidence.
If a product is verified to have been materially misrepresented, remedies will be determined under the applicable law and Platform policies.
53. WARRANTY VOID CONDITIONS
Without limiting other exclusions, warranty may be treated as void where applicable if:
- incorrect installation occurred;
- product was modified;
- serial numbers were removed;
- manufacturer seals were broken;
- incompatible components were used;
- vehicle was improperly maintained;
- external damage occurred;
- prescribed installation procedures were ignored;
- required programming was not performed correctly;
- product was used outside intended specifications; or
- the manufacturer or supplier's warranty conditions were breached.
54. INFORMATION PROVIDED BY SPARESHUB
Any assistance provided by SparesHub regarding:
- part identification;
- technical information;
- common symptoms;
- installation information; or
- catalogue references
is provided for informational purposes. It does not replace diagnosis or installation by a qualified automotive professional.
55. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SparesHub's liability relating to a warranty claim will not exceed the amount actually paid to SparesHub for the specific product giving rise to the claim. SparesHub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, special or consequential losses. Nothing in this Policy excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
56. MANDATORY LEGAL RIGHTS
Nothing in this Policy is intended to eliminate any statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Indian law. Where any term of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory requirement will prevail to the extent of the conflict.
57. HOW TO RAISE A WARRANTY CLAIM
To raise a warranty claim, contact SparesHub and provide:
- Order Number;
- invoice;
- part number;
- vehicle make/model;
- VIN/chassis number where relevant;
- date of installation;
- odometer reading;
- detailed description of the problem;
- photographs/videos;
- installation invoice; and
- diagnostic evidence where applicable.
SparesHub may request additional documents before accepting the claim for investigation.
58. CLAIM REFERENCE
A warranty claim will be treated as formally raised only after SparesHub has received sufficient information to identify the transaction and understand the nature of the alleged defect. Simply informing a salesperson or marketplace seller that "the part is not working" does not constitute sufficient warranty documentation.
59. POLICY CHANGES
SparesHub may update this Warranty Policy periodically to reflect changes in:
- manufacturer policies;
- marketplace operations;
- product categories;
- seller arrangements;
- legal requirements; or
- warranty procedures.
The warranty terms applicable to a transaction will generally be those in effect at the time of purchase together with the specific warranty terms communicated for the product.
60. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory legal rights and jurisdiction, courts having jurisdiction in Pune, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to this Policy.

IMPORTANT WARRANTY NOTICE
SparesHub does not provide an independent warranty unless expressly stated in writing. Warranty, where available, is subject to the terms and approval of the applicable manufacturer, OEM, authorised dealership, supplier or marketplace seller. Installed or used products cannot ordinarily be returned as a standard return merely because a vehicle problem continues. Labour, installation, removal, towing, diagnosis, vehicle downtime and consequential losses are not covered unless expressly stated otherwise or required by applicable law. All warranty claims are subject to inspection, verification and approval. By purchasing a product through SparesHub.com, the Buyer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to this Warranty Policy.
